Tamarack Lodge & Resort has exceptional dining with a very romantic atmosphere. The dining room is intimate so reservations well in advance are a must. The Chef de Cuisine Frederic Pierrel combines regional influences from his native eastern France and the eastern Sierras to make dining a delightful experience. Definitely worth the expense! |

Whoa Nellie Deli!
Great food at a Mobil gas station? Yep, the Whoa Nellie Deli has gourmet food from about June through October at the Mobil gas station in Lee Vining. Located at the intersection of highway 395 and the road to Tioga Pass to Yosemite, the deli has indoor seating and outdoor picnic tables with excellent views of Mono Lake. Food is very affordable, large portions, and gourmet quality! We enjoy the fabulous fish tacos, grilled salmon salad, and the herb crusted grilled pork tenderloin with apricot wild berry glaze. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Closed during the winter months. |

Schat’s Bakery at Mammoth Lakes!
Schat’s Bakery has excellent pasties and fresh made bread. A real treat well worth the calories (that’s why we go hiking!). We like to get pastries for the next morning also if we can not make it back the next day. |
