The Tahoe Donner Cross Country Center is located at 15275 Alder Creek Road, Truckee, CA 96161 (530-587-9484). To access the center, put the address into Yahoo Maps and obtain directions.
At the center you will find friendly personal to assist you. Rates are very reasonable and are on the web www.TahoeDonner.com (use the menus on the left side of the site). The 4,800 acres of varied terrain makes Tahoe Donner one of the nation’s premier cross country ski centers. Compared to the Rocky Mountain resorts, the elevation for the trails is relatively low, ranging from 6,500 ft to 7,729 ft. The ski school has excellent instructors, many of whom are former Olympic skiers or expert level skiers. Lessons are usually available on a daily basis, with clinic throughout the season.
