As warm and sunny fall days gives way to chilly days, and then starts the change to winter, sometimes it’s hard to decide what to do.  There isn’t enough snow to go skiing, and the cold blustery days and wet trails don’t leave much else to do. 

 

So, perhaps some scenic drives are just the cure!  There is beautiful scenery all around!

 

The upper stretch of the Truckee River from Squaw Valley to Tahoe City is quite scenic in winter after a fresh snowfall.
